Greece shuts down Stanleybet betting shops

Uk based fixed-odds betting firm Stanleybet recently opened several gambling establishments throughout Greece without consent. Big Mistake!
Stanleybet has been trying to break into the Greek market since 2005 but they don’t seem to understand that OPAP has had the exclusive rights on sports betting and lotteries in Greece since 1996 and their contract lasts until the year 2020.
So why is Stanleybet so anxious to illegally open up gaming shops? Because it is reported that Greece gambles several BILLION euros a year on soccer (football) and lotteries! Who would have thought that papou Mitso knew how to gamble?
On Monday, Greek police raided the newly opened Stanleybet shops and confiscated gaming equipment and cash. The police said that Stanleybet “conducted illegal betting...without a permit from the appropriate authorities...aiming to make monetary gain at the expense of the Greek state."

Greece: Firebomb attacks damage buildings, cars
Greek authorities say suspected anarchist arsonists have carried out a string of firebomb attacks in Athens, damaging buildings and parked vehicles.
There were no arrests or injuries.
Police say the arsonists caused extensive damage to a car belonging to a former public order minister. The attacks also damaged two private security company offices, a bank office and a supermarket van.
No group claimed responsibility for the pre-dawn attacks Wednesday, which used small cooking-gas canisters. Anarchist groups have carried out dozens of firebombings this year to protest government social and economic policies.
The attacks have increased ahead of next week's anniversary of a 1973 student revolt, a traditional vent for anarchist protests.
Jennifer Aniston finally opens her mouth in Vogue

In December’s issue of Vogue Magazine, Jennifer Aniston calls the man-stealing Angelina Jolie “uncool”. It wasn’t too long ago that Jolie began her relationship with Aniston’s then-husband Brad Pitt while filming the movie Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Aniston always kept her personal feelings private while Jolie and Pitt continued their relationship and created a family of six.
In the December, 2007 issue of Vogue, Jolie had made public remarks about her affair with Pitt and how she couldn’t wait to get to work everyday on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith so she could interact with Pitt.
Well after 2 years of holding her emotions back, Aniston is finally fighting back with the same magazine.
Check out the new issue of Vogue that hits the newsstands on November 18th.

H&M opens new store in Athens

Sweeden’s apparel giant Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) has opened its 4th store in Athens at Aiolou 89 on October 9th as well as another department store in Larissa on October 23rd.
The clothing giant now has 6 stores in Greece. H&M is a perfect example of a business that will definitely prosper in the current global economic turmoil while other high-end retailers will be struggling.
They have perfected the formula of fashion to value.
