About Me

Well where to start?  You can never yourself up in these things! I'll do my best!

Birthday:  June 16, 1979 (29)

Church:  Well, I grew up at St. Constantine and Helen, but I also go to Holy Cross, St. Spyridon, Holy Apostles, and All Saints.  I like a change of atmosphere.

Occupation- Been teaching history for five years at an impoverished school and I love it!  I can save the world one kid at a time and don't you tell me otherwise.  I also coach two sports at the high school level- softball and golf!

Education:  Lewis University BA History, Minors in Science and English '02

                 Lewis University MA Education  '04

Groups:  Hellenic Professional Society, AHEPA, National Georgraphic, World Wild Life Fund, Nature Conservation Society.

Hobbies:  Loving being Greek!  Dancing, singing, hanging out with my friends.  Friends and family are so important because they will always be there no matter what!!  I love new experiences and cultural things.  I love going traveling (I've been to over 15 countries, about 34 states, and Disney World over 30 times!). My favorite places in the world are Greece, Australia, and Disney World, but the Bahamas is growing on me.  I also enjoy going to plays, concerts, events, Greektown, movies, and reading.  I read historical fictions and history books.  I also read Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, and Entertainment magazine consistently.  I am the family historian (nothing is more important than FAMILY) so I take lots of pictures.  My family calls me the "gel" because I keep in touch with everyone and hold everything together.  My other passion of course you can tell is sports. I played college softball and golf at the Division II level.  We actually came in 2nd in the country for softball.  It was awesome to play for the national championship even if we did lose.

Favorite Sports Teams:  You'l never guess that I am originally from NY and proud of it baby!  "Let's go Yankees!"  (this is as serious a religion as Greek Orthodoxy) and J-E-T-S- JETS JETS JETS!

Aspirations:  I want to start my PhD in history in the fall.  I would love to be a curriculum director for history so I can help decide what we teach.  I am almost donw with my Type 75 to be a principal.  I want to have a family and raise them to be the proudest and best Greeks ever!  :)

Favorite Music:Greek, Rock, Disney Jams (yes, I love Hannah Montana, it's ok!)

Favorite TV Shows: 24, Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy, Back to You, Hannah Montana, the Emperor's New Groove, Naked Science (it's on the National Geographic Channel sickos...it's a science program!

Favorite Movies:Major League, Wedding Crashers, Dodgeball, the Davinci Code, Cool Runnings, & the Italian Job.

Favorite Books:All Harry Potter books, the Davinci Code, anything that Mario Puzo wrote, mystery novels, and all kinds of travel books. and historical fictions.

Favorite Quotations:

"Go- there's nothing stopping you!" Ad campaign for Air Tran that speaks to my heart!

"The bad guys never take a day off so why should I?" Bob Marley

"Go now because you can sleep when your dead, and you don't even have to call off work!"

- "Spartans! Lay down your weapons!"
-"Persians- come and get them!"
