U/21 Victorian FOXTEL Cup
A tough physical game
The U/21 SMFC and Oakleigh Cannons ended the game nil all at Jack Edwards Reserve on 7 March 2008.
In general, the game was not attractive to watch and some spontaneous chances created from both teams did not satisfy anyone. Played mostly in midfield, many mistakes were apparent and a physical performance was dominant.
With this draw, SMFC stands in the fifth position after round four, which until now is a better performance compared with the SMFC team the same round last year.
Reardo LUKA did not play this game as the SMFC coach Slobodan Stefanović rightly considered it a dangerous environment for him during the recovery stage.
On Monday 24 March, SMFC will meet VIS (Victorian Institute of Sport) and the game is predicted to be very attractive as both teams have young talented players and both having five points each.
