Greek ship released by pirates

The Greek-owned shipping vessel "Filitsa" that has been held by Somali pirates for three months has finally been freed.  It was freed after an aircraft dropped an undisclosed amount of ransom money onto the ship’s deck.

Last month, a Greek-flagged oil tanker and its crew were released by Somali pirates after receiving a ransom payment of a 3.8-million-euro!

The ship and its crew were reportedly in good health.
